There is no guaranteed way to prevent dandruff, but there are things that you can do to reduce the chances of it returning. The main triggers to dandruff are very oily skin or very dry skin. As a result make sure you wash your hair the right amount. Also avoid using styling hair products, or have remove it from your hair when possible (such as before going to sleep). Stress also plays a role in dandruff, which also gives us another reason as to why we should learn to control our stress levels.

raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar, cost $5 a bottle

Hair & Scalp- Seborrheic Dermatitis (Severe Dandruff)
Brijette of Bettendorf, Iowa writes us, "My Chiropractor told me to use vinegar on my baby girl's cradle cap. I applied it straight and let it sit for 10 minutes before her bath. I've done this only four times now and her cradle cap is almost gone already!!! Maybe this straight vinegar treatment could work for other scalp problems as well."

Anne writes, " I have dark hair which is very oily. I use apple cider vinegar as a hair rinse, it helps to dissolve buildup, which results in much shinier hair. It has also been very beneficial for my dandruff."

A reader from Boston, MA writes, "I'm so happy that I found this site. I have applied straight apple cider vinegar 30 min before washing my hair and the flaking is almost gone. It has taken five treatments and WOW what a difference. It make my hair shiny too (extra bonus)."

I have to use Head-and-Shoulders daily and then once a week I wash my hair and apply some Repcillin Oil in my hair before I go to bed. This helps with the dandruff and makes my hair healthier. I think you can only get it on the Yahoo! Shops.

use a good dandruff shampoo. been using T-Gel for years. Best one I have ever used. Also, less harmful to your scalp, as it does not have the metallic components found in H&S
