I used to weigh about 170 at 5'2" - I was plump and have been tormented my whole life.. but within the last 3 years I've dropped to 125 at 5'2" - My mind can't seem to recognize that though when I'm out. My security doesn't match my newfound healthier frame and attractiveness. I'm told to be more confident, but can't seem to shake this insecurity.

Hi there, I find this problem too...even though I know I am not the size i used to be, I still feel bigger than other people and even though im "in a new skin" i am in the old mindset. I think someone or something will happen eventually to boost your confidence, even if it's just a simple compliment. For me I shouldn't comment because I have an eatingdisorder, so my self image is probably not very rational at all.

Be proud of your new figure, you worked hard for it!:) x

You shouldn't be insecure no matter what you're weight. You are who you are, and if you just choose to ignore your weight entirely and focus on what's really important: being you and your personality. Having friends boost your ego isn't a bad idea either.

It takes time to adapt and be confident. Just keep trying and it will help if you hear compliments from others.
