I am fighting someone in one month. I have never fought before and I am wondering what I should do to train, plus what is it like boxing

Poorly and incompletely. Your first fight is always the scariest, without the proper training you are setting yourself up for disaster. If you have to ask what it is like boxing, you haven't even come close to being ready for your first fight. Start by sparring 100 three minute rounds with safe competition. Hold off on your first fight until you know what your getting yourself into. Once the bell rings, it is not the time to learn, it is the time to fight.

I boxed for 2 years in the amateurs and the best advice to a young fighter is to spar. Everyday when you go to the gym you should stretch, shadow box for about 3 rounds and then spar for about 4 rounds. after sparing you should hit the bag for a few rounds and have a trainer hold pads for you, this will give you a moving targets. The heavy bag is the least of your needs, its great for technique but it doesn't fight back. Also try going to other gyms to get used to the different atmosphere. Your gonna be nervous and scared your first fight but u gotta do what mike Tyson does, turn your fear to fire. Good luck
