I mean I'm 18 and I really should be out of this "stage" but when I try to be nice it just doesn't seem to fit. It's always a flirty sarcastic mean but still... I do wonder what's wrong with me

When you react like this, you're trying to protect yourself-too early though. You are probably scared of being hurt, so you don't give them a chance to hurt you. Maybe just work on it and try a new approach. But you have to change the way you think about guys first.

Nothing's wrong. It could be your fear of being "too close" to someone. Or maybe if your stressed over your future and then come in contact that could rub off because your stressed. THE LAST thing you want to worry about is a guy. Just look inside yourself. Do a little introspection, and ask yourself why? Is there something you've seen or been throught that would lead to do this? I know there is for me. But you just have to learn how to suside it and and move on. It's hard. But I bet you can do it. I'm 20 and I do the same thing it's no harm in it if it's in a flirty way but sometimes I feel like I do hurt the guy's feelings. I'm trying to break out of it myself. I think I do it becuz I'm afraid of letting a guy know that I really like him becuz I am afraid of getting hurt.

Nothing is wrong. Are you shy? Maybe it is a defence thing. Perhaps you aren't sure of how to act so it just comes out that way.
Maybe you think about it too much or you are just so used to it that it keeps happening. Try to consciously change it. Keep it in your mind to act differently. (if it bothers you) If it works, keep it up.

Your probably scared of getting your heart broken and that's understadable. I mean if you like a guy or he likes you maybe you freak that it won't work out so u push them away. that way u don't get hurt. Just a theory.
