Not believing in something isn't a religion. By your logic you could make anything a religion. I don't believe Norbit was a good movie. Oops i've just created Norbitism.

You love this way of thinking? What's so great about false logic? It annoys me, personally. Few, if any, atheists will refer to being an atheist as "practicing" atheism. It's not an accurate description. I don't even know how you would go about doing that? Atheist is a single noun, or adjective, and it says one thing, and one thing only about what you believe: That you don't believe in any gods. That's it, that's all it says. If that's a religion, then so is being irish, or dutch, or your sexual preference, or whether you like butter or jelly on your toast.

You don't practice it, this question exhibits a lack of understanding, an atheist knows there are no gods of any kind, no devils or demons either, no heavens hells or anything like them. It is not a religion it is an absence of belief in any of the above.

I simply do not believe in a god or gods. There is no way to practice it. There is no ritual or rhetoric. If you don't believe in Santa Claus, do you have some ritual or practices that you perform? Of course not. The same with atheists.

You practice it by not having a belief in the existence of a god or gods, and that means it's an absence of religion.

Look up 'religion'. It may shock you to discover that the definition is not "something you practice". You can practice tennis or law, but they're not religions.

I'm a Buddhist, I TRY to practice patience, altruism, etc. ATHEISM is merely my understanding of philosophy, not a practice.

You don't believe in god. That really doesn't take practice.

I don't. There's nothing to practice.

(2nd question is therefore moot.)
