First thought is if she is having any dental issues? If you haven't had a vet visit in a while maybe it's time to check her teeth.
If your good about brushing her teeth then she could just have a upset stomach it will make their breath smell awful too.
You can see if the food your feeding is upsetting her stomach and if that's the culprit than slowly change to a better quality food.

Sometimes its not just because of the food you feed her. You need to brush her teeth too!! If you don't brush her teeth then all of the tarter will build up and cause bad breath. You can also try feeding her Denta Sticks (do not feed her the brand GREENIES) Or you could feed her denta squars. You could switch her food to a better dog food too like Natural Balance or Blue Buffalo ( those are the better dog foods that you can find at Petco. The best of the best dog foods are hard to find)

If your dog is getting on on the years then i would have your dogs mouth checked as halitosis (bad breath), can be caused by bad teeth and gums.

If that is OK and your dogs teeth don't need cleaning then check with your vet. There are all kinds of food available to help with bad breath

A premium dog food. NO by products (heads, feet, feathers, cancerous material, etc) and no corn (hard to digest). Also make sure it's mostly natural products.

Try a food like Nutro - they put cranberry powder in their food to help specifically with the breath. www.nutroproducts.com.

Also refrain from canned food, it get stuck in their teeth and can cause decay and rot. And cause bad breath!

Good Luck

We bought food that was supposed to help and my chi won't eat it. She has breath like I have never smelled. We have 3 other dogs, no problem.
