The Lymph Nodes are small glands that are connected to each other by a system similar to capillaries and veins.
The Lymph Nodes are filled with lymph fluid which drains downward through the lymph system and the fluid is reabsorbed into the bloodstream.
The purpose of lymph nodes is similar to tonsils that trap and attempt to rid your body of bacteria and other infectious agents.
The lymph nodes usually become enlarged do to an infection, inflamation or cancer.
The lymph nodes closest down from the organ affected or area of infection or inflamton are the ones that will swell up, so whatever nodes are swollen are near where the problem is.
A massage therapist can show you a method to use to help your lymph nodes to drain if they are swollen.
The lymph system has no force behind it such as your circulatory system, so the only way they can drain is by downward gravity.

Limp nodes are like train station, while limp vein is passage of "water" part of your blood. Those are sight of infection fighting, but if infection is severe can swell up as if you have a cyst. So, all limp nodes are almost equally have chance to swell up. There are more limp nodes clusters in your armpit and groin, if that swells up - would be painful.
