NO NEON! It's all about the LED's buddy, time to get with times, Neon gets too hot and takes to much juice

Get those things that big trucks have on the back tires to block debirs and have one say Kiss and the other say A$$. Also for the tailgate, replace it with one of those nets that they have. It looks cool and gived better gas mileage. Get some Step bars and nerf rails. Grill and brush gaurds. And some Rims.

Red neon in the hood scoop will make it look HOT!! Like the engine is glowing. Have ya got chrome headlite grille covers that protect your headlites from being broken from rocks?

You don't say what engine you have, but a cool swap is the Turbo 4 out of a Thunderbird Turbo coupe, these can be picked up cheap in wrecking yards, stock they make 200 hp. and nothing looks cooler than a turbo, unless it's smoke coming off the rear tires :)
