That is why you must give your live purpose. Life's meaning is not pre-determined and planned out; you are not a pawn in the games of the Gods, nor especially singled out to be an avatar or martyr. You must find your own destiny and meaning; you must create it. You have something -- life, the here-now, the present -- and must make the best out of it. You must answer why you are here.
The purpose of life is to give life a purpose; the goal of life is to enjoy it.

My only purpose in life is to live, and pass on what I know (and leave good memories) for my children. That's all I need to live for. I'd be depressed if it were all "planned out" for me, because I don't like the thought of someone other than me controlling my fate.

,the root of your dealio is what lead you to believe that your life has no meaning. your life has meaning and /or a purpose. my child, you where born. god has you on "HIS" purpose list.. despite your past,your iniquities, or how pissed off you are at anybody at any given time, your purpose is to live. i know that's cliche, but, just live. and, just by chance, you may think you have no one to live for. how contrite, seek jesus. he will be more than happy to accommodate you. go in peace

I've been a nurse, working in acute care hospitals, for 30 years. I'll let you decide if my life has purpose, because I never gave that any thought.
