I'm sorry If I've offended anyone, really. But alot of you were just trying to be clever,(?) maybe, and didn't answer my question. Yes, I do judge, though it's a sin, and bad habit I'm trying to break. But you can't go around the fact that the Bible clearly states that gayness is a sin, and a decision. Despite this, I know of several hard core Christians who seem completely genuine and honest, yet believe gay is ok. Why?

Ressurectionist, no I'm not "doing my job" I was curious, asked a question, and was obviously naiive in thinking people might actually respect that without bashing me.

Look, Christians pick and choose what they want to believe from the Bible. Just one example-- do you eat shellfish?or Many Christians do, and the Bible is MORE explicit about that being a sin than homosexuality.
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

You are supposed to love thy neighbor, remember? So, dont worry about other people and their sexuality and others's sins. Worry about yourself. This is 2007. Gaysd are getting married, adopting children, HAVING children. Bring love in and eat shrimp too!! They taste good!

They haven't read the Bible. You can believe in Christ and not know all of Gods word. When they get to Romans (6th book of the NT) they will figure it out. It is a sin. Just because society tells us to accept it and has slowly desensitized us to it doesn't mean its not a sin. What is a sin is judging homosexuality and being prejudice against homosexuality. It is a sin just like any other sin.

because I don't think God judges someone for the way they are born. Like Jesus says "love everyone". Why can't more Christians think like Jesus????

And one more thing, have you ever seen young kids, say in elementary, who are already showing signs of homosexuality? I have. I don't think they are doing it on purpose to sin, they are just born that way. And homosexuality isn't something that just came about today, it's been around since the beggining of time. Society just wouldn't let them be open about it. There are some old Greek paintings portraying gay men, its been around forever!

Nevermind questions to relegion. They can never make up their minds. For mary jane's sake, we just got out of the era of burning normal people on a pole for anything and everything that's more comlicated then a bucket to s**t in and indian "savages" without feathers.

I believe that some people are born Hermaphrodites. I believe other people who are gay do it in college to be rebellious and to experiment. I think God judges those two cases differently. I can't judge the people. All I can say is that there is a kind of homosexuality that is sin. But I can't say who those people are.

You cannot call yourself a Christian and then stand in judgment over another human being. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Do not presume to be the right hand of God. Many things were written into the bible including cutting off the hands of thieves and stoning men and women who committed adultery (cheated on their spouses). We don't do those things anymore and for a very good reason, it's wrong!. Live and let live, respect the right to privacy and a private life.

Because like all Christians they choose what to believe and what not to believe. And like many, it conveniently suits their purposes. By the way, what the heck is a "genuine Christian?" I thought that was for God to sort out.

I'm sorry, Jesus may well have been the son of God, or just one rightous dude, but "christians" are the most hippocritical, judgemental, inconsistent folks I've ever dealt with.

Because they do not read the bible.
Real Christianity is loving that person and praying for them
but NOT excepting their sin.

Like the whole world has done...its was called being in the closet for a reason... That's where it needs to stay....they need to go to a real church with real Christan's and get deliverance...

I am not intimidated by them at all.

Maybe they do. They just also remember that part in the bible where it talks about how you are not your brother's keeper.

I promise you that every homosexual is aware of the christian view on homosexuality. They know, so you can stop telling them about it now. Do you think you're responsible for their salvation? You're not, they know how you feel about it, they don't care, you can leave them the hell alone now. Your job is already done.

Well...there are those that say they are Christian's...but don't believe the Bible is literal...As for myself...I believe the Bible is the living world of God...It is the same today...as it was when Christ walked the earth...and it will be the same tomorrow....The word says that God views homosexuality as an abomination....It is not my place to argue with God...but there are those that do not believe they have to take what He says as literal.
