You at least need a GED and a high enough ASVAB (GT) score to become an MP. Every MOS has certain scores that you must meet when you take the ASVAB. If you don't meet the scores to become an MP you will have to settle for another job.

You will need a GED to join the Army..but I'll be dead honest unless the Army has changed their policy, there are several jobs you can't choose from with a GED and i believe Military Police is one of them.
Depending on your asvab score you're more likely to be offered infantry or field artillery.

I've heard of Recruiters assisting potential recruits with GED testing; this is probably because you can't get into the military without at least a GED.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard of the Army waving things like drug use on file and what not. So I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to join; especially if they're in need of MPs.

No. The military as we speak is looking at the point of educating so much of its own, because it has so much individuals that are uneducated and lack the knowledge of wining a war against anything we are facing today. Being a Military Police, you have to have a knowledge about laws, court practices, judicial system, handling of crime and its contents, most of all....you need to understand how America is fighting this war on terror. Its more than bullets and bombs nowadays....its the black-lost-religious mind that terrorized our home. We can win against them by not killing them with bullets, but by out-smarting them.

Yes but odds are you will be playing referee to Iraq's civil war as opposed to being an MP.
