I'm thinking of going to school in LA and I was just wondering if there was a big Caribbean community. I'm just curious if there are people there who share my heritage, but if not it's not a big deal, I still want to go.

Nope they are predominently on the East Coast.

I just happened to overhear a woman speaking with what sounded like to me, a Jamaican accent.
We are a true melting pot, we have people from EVERY WHERE here.
Whether there is a sizable and active Caribbean community, I can't say. But if there isn't, then start one!
