ok so here's the deal...I'm somewhere near 5'3. Last I checked I was 288lbs & am 21 yrs old. I've had 1 baby & that left me w/ some pretty good ones(lbs, veinies & stretch marks),I've been eating healthy & getting good excercise(am already down 20lbs since jan.1) ok so what I need to know is.what is my healthieast weight & how long should it take me to get there? Once I'm there, whats the likelihood my skin would be saggy? Would my stretch marks or veinies be any noticeably better/different? If I do have to get skin removed can they find a way to take off the part w/ stretch maks on it?(vertical on sides of tummy), & how much is anything that makes the veinies "disappear"? I hope this isnt too graphic, thanks so much. Also, for anyone who might be thinking the general, "see a doctor/I dont know/eat healthier/get more excercise/depends on who u are, etc"answers, thats not what Im asking about, that I already knew. Please, if ANYONE can help I'd be VERY grateful. Thanks so much. (=

im not sure but i think that if you are exercersing and dieting your skin will not sag and if you only diet then if you have the chance of sagging but im not quite sure but i think thats the way it goes Good Luck with the weight loss and im proud of you for making a life style change and wanting to get healthy you should be proud of yourself!!

Honestly it's going to depend on your body as well as your own determination. By the way props for trying to get healthy! Since you are only 21, you will loose the weight quickly because you are still young. Loosing weight isn't likely to help with the stetch marks and "venies" (I know that's not what you wanted to hear!) But you aren't likely to have extra skin when you loose weight unless you have been overweight for a long time. Since you are young, I am assuming the weight came from babies and a more recent lifestyle choice. In that case, you won't have extra skin. A healthy weight for you is between 120-145 but don't go by that 100% everyone is different and their bodies can be healthy at a higher weight like if their have a larger bone density. I hope some of this helped!

I've been worried about this stuff too, when it comes to losing weight. First I know that it does help if you strength train, if you can get with a personal trainer who can design what you specifically need to do to get into shape that would be great. If you can't afford it then I'd just suggest lifting weights and looking for articles on how to tone certain areas, they have them in cosmo all the time.
Sometimes when you lose a drastic amount of weight, I've heard that you may need to have a tummy tuck. But while you lose the weight you could be saving for it also. My doctor says to not worry about that part now, and focus on losing the weight for health reasons. Good advice.
if your 5'3 your ideal weight should be around 145 give or take a few pounds. Good luck with everything, you've already done an awesome job losing 87 pounds.

ok.... first off, good job and the weigt lose so far. It sounds like you are making good choices!
When you lose weight the marks will turn white and no be so easy to see. If you decide when you have lost all that you want to and you are healthy then see what the skin is like. You never know until you get there what it is going to be like. DRINK TONS of water because it keeps your skin elastisity and you need that.
As for what is the right weight for you? That is up to you. DO what feels healhty for you, no one is the same so no can say that you need to be a weight. DO what is right for you to be healhty.
Keep up the good work and keep me posted! I am on a simalar journey myself!

DONT DO DIETS!
All i have to say is to do weight lifting and cardio on opposite days and see a trained professional before your start w the weights. The weight lifting is the key. It with work, i m soooo sure.
