Practice looking over the heads of the audience by staring at the back wall. Sometimes, by avoiding eye contact, or even looking past the "bodies" in the audience, it can help.

Getting over stage fright is really easy for me. I always get really really nervous right before i go on stage. But once I'm out there i have a good time and i pretend that no one is there. I may hear them but as long as i don't see them i'm good. usually what i do is stare at the wall but i'm a dancer so it doesn't really matter where i look. But for singers i imagine it would be the same thing. Imagine your in the shower and you are singing your heart out. Get really into it you can even close your eyes. Good luck i hope you do well.

Do you know what did shakesphere say? He said when you are on the stage you must think that everyone infront of you(audience) are fools and they don't know anything about it. Just think in the same way. You may have to do several stage performances, presentations, seminars etc. in your life. You have to get rid of that fear slowly but steadily.
Every long journey starts with a single step. So first practice singing infront of your friends or class mates. So that you can gain your confidence level. All the best for your singing performance.

Practice alot, to the point that it is no big thing..... use the nervous energy as a good thing, it will keep you focusing on your task at hand...... try drinking something with ginger (it calms you down and helps if your tummy go wacky)..... don't eat any dairy before you go on stage, it causes the throat to not perform as well...... warm up really well and give yourself plenty of time to relax.

Remember this - it's only a performance and its live. The audience wants to see you be you, no matter the circumstances.

Listen, there's no way in the world you will get over it without many more performances, so you've just got to accept, that you're gonna be nervous, your heart will race, and your throat will go dry.

take a few deep breaths, drink lots of water. get up there, and do your best, be as much of yourself as you can be, don't sing to the wall, be the centre of attention, look at everyone, involve everyone, once they are on your side, you'll find you relax. you are a perfomer, so get up there and act like one. act like you've done it a million times before, and your not nervous.....you're excited!!!!!
There's lots of people that just don't have the guts to do it, you have so get up there and work it baby!!!!!!

I know how you feel; I've had tons of performances before. Whenever I get stage fright, I stuff myself full with my favorite foods! You can try that.
Hope you can overcome your stage fright!

You can decrease stage frights by pretending no one's there are they are all just your family memembers and very close friends. Breathe in and breathe out slowly. Take one chance and tell yourself to get over it. It's going to be scary, but just say if you'll be really bad, tell yourself you'll NEVER going to see those people again so who cares? Take a risk.

When you get up to sing, find one person in the audience who you know or who looks interested, and sing directly to that person. Focus on that one person and your performance, and giving them the very best you have to offer. You will forget that anyone else is there. I know it sounds dumb, but it works for me.
