I want to be able to have my hair short and long when I feel like it. I've heard that it's possible to have your own hair made into extensions so that it matches perfectly and then you can take them in and out whenever you want. Is this true? How much would it cost and how would I set about doing it?

You can have your own hair made into extensions but you would need a good amount of hair to accomplish this. I mean you would have to pratically shave your head to even get the extensions.

Hi hun, im not sure about your own hair being put in as extensions but now a days u can get very good clip in hair extensions i use them at the mo, I'm the same and get bored easily with the length of my hair and u can match your own hair very easily. you can get a full head for about £20 human hair. and then atleast you can put other colours for streaks. and add as much or as little as you like. I hope this is some help to you hun.

we're not really looking at money, it's the matter of fact to see if you have enough hair lol. If your hair is at least to your butt to actually try to make the extension lol. and it would cost you about $150 to make it into extension, my mom own a salon and it's really cute but i'm not sure if it's reliable.

You can get track sewed in and the hair cost about in total at Sally's about 25-30 dollars, but its your money's worth because it can stay in your hair for months and months. Go to your local hair dresser and get it done if you really want it done.
