I'm sure there are groups...but you'll have to check around in your local community. Try at your community center, health and human services, clinics, etc. Some community have groups and organizations that help specifically help with grief support.

If there is, do a search on the internet to find it. My daughter lost her dad when she was five and the counselor told me that she wouldn't feel the true effects of that loss until she was 16 or older. If there isn't a support group, find a counselor or someone you trust to talk with. It is difficult to lose a parent at such a young age. My heart goes out to all who have. It is difficult to loose a parent at any age, I was 22 when my dad died and I still miss him. As a kid, it is even harder and there are added feelings. You should talk about it with someone. If you have a surviving parent, I hope they are understanding and there for you.

I appreciate the honesty of the response. The user didn't necessarily agree with my decision to buy a dog (I thought it was a bit harsh at first) but offered an extensive reason while also directly addressing my question. I will certainly give more consideration before I make the addition to my home.

There are, but, they are not in every town. When I lost my dad at 13, I went to my Pastor and between him and the local Mental Health department I was able to find and utilize it.
