This is just one of the things Bush has to have done before NASCO , The NAFTA Superhighway and NAU is completed .
This is why they won't close the border and stop those Mexican trucks from rolling North, East and West

As a retired truck driver of 10 years, of course not. Mexican trucks are ill-maintained. We are not allowed to drive into Mexico, and are only allowed to drop a load in Canada, and then have to head right back out, we cannot drive all over picking and dropping loads, whoever said we could is flat out wrong.
A realistic question is, do you want badly maintained trucks driving on the roads with your family, in conditions the mexican truckers have never drove in (like snow/ice/ect...) with your family. Do you want 50,000 Americans to loose their jobs.
Anyone that says yes is an idiot.

No. I don't think that they should allow them. What they'll end up doing is this: About five Mexicans will go and buy a truck together and then they'll drive 24/7. That will just about put all of the American truck drivers out of business and they won't have a job anymore. It's come down to this. We either need to convince Bush to set up about 400 fully armed Marines around the border (because the National Guard won't do anything) and give them a command to shoot any Paco that they see going across that border or we need to do something about it our selves. You know what I mean by that and drive them all back into Mexico. It's not about racism it's about our freedom and country. I'll bet just about anything that what the Mexican government is doing is trying to put America down. Here's my theory.

The Mexican government is giving out broshures about how to get past the Mexican-American border. That's a true fact. What I think they are going to do is invade America (which they've already done) and send all the illegals over here to sell drugs and just like I said with the truck drivers, put them out and what they'll do is ruin our economy. When they do that, we will be vulnerable to attack. The Mexicans could overthrow our government and do whatever they want to with it. I think that they'll sell America to Russia and put us under communism and spread it throughout the entire world. But what do I know, I'm only in the ninth grade nobody ever listens to us.

NO!

The safety standards of Mexico for trucks is nowhere even close to the standard within the United States or Canada. Their trucks do not meet those standards at all.

As one that lives within a state that knows of accidents with truck drivers from Mexico making delivers within the United States because of NAFTA - wait till someone gets personally in an accident with such a truck and what your insurance company will end up telling you about who is going to have to suck it up and pay for the cost of the damage to your vehicle.

HINT - it won't be the Mexican truck driver or the Mexican company.

Vehemently no! - to the trucks, not necessarily the drivers.
Have you ever been to a U.S. port of entry on the southern border? Mexican trucks are crawling pieces of garbage. I'm not sure they even have safety requiements for the trucks that operate strictly in Mexico.

There are lots of restrictions on what foreign commercial drivers can do in the U.S. so I don't worry so much about the driver but their equipment is a definite safety hazard.

NO, because the illegal drugs and illegal immigration are going to be part of this stupidity of the Bush administration. This is with out counting the driver and the condition of the vehicle. Pure shame on this administration and every body that is backing this stupidity. Are we the American truckers allow to drive in Mexico??? I don't think so...Plain stupid, that's all.

From what I seen the big questions are how much time would a trucker coming from Mexico have driving before entering the US since our truckers here do have time limits. Next Mexico say's it does drug testing only it was confirmed they do not have any labs to run the tests.

We have no choice.... if they are some one else they would not be Mexican truckers. But seriously if they are not held to the same safety standards as U.S. truckers, then no. Maybe they should have worked an agreement whereby they have to transfer their load or trailer to an American trucker at a certain point and if going to Canada the American would transfer to a Canadian at some point in transit.

American truck drivers are a thorn in the side of business. They stick together and they demand fair pay. Mexican truckers will drive them into poverty where they deserve to be like all U.S. citizens. They will drive their rickety trucks all over our highways, mostly in the left lane at slow speeds, until all those American family men are driven out of work.

That would negate the need for a fence wouldn't it? How long will it be before they are packing those trucks with illegals?

Yeah, great plan. Way to go Bush. Lets bring in your "guests" by the truck load.

No restrictions? Not on your life!

They must posess a valid driver's license, insurance, and permission to operate in the US, in my vision of how it should work. I'm sure there would be other concerns, but those three issues would be my biggest concern. They would need to conform to US driving standards for Commercial Traffic.
