y would someone resist arrest? i mean they'll just get more charges against them ... ya i know they don't want to go to jail ... but y bother running/resisting? they're gonna get cought either way ....

simple, some officers think the badge makes them next to God. If they had any real education why would they be someone shot at, abused and in harms way for small wages. Power trip. Next time you in trouble call a cop ~smirks~
I apologize for seemingly biased remark. Most police officers are here to make payroll agree, tickets fines and other worthless inventions to get your pocket book. If you want real help call a state trooper. Educated friendly and have some college behind them.

i think most that resist arrest are on drugs or very drunk. When you are on drugs your brain doesn't work and you have no control of your body and mind. You get angry at people around you and when police try to hold you down you fight them.

Hey, that's not necessarily true. Cops are only human. You can (I did when I was a kid) outrun them and get away. Not a good idea, though, especially if they know your name.

well, a lot of people just run because they are stupid enough to think they can get away....and the most of the others run because they are high.
