My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. Now that we both go to college in different countries(the time difference is actually 11hours), he has started acting strangely. He's already told me twice that he doesn't want to go on with our relationship, but he always comes back on his word. What should I do to make sure he doesn't stray, because I get the feeling that sex is more important than feelings? Are all guys such jerks?

Sorry to tell u, but someone has to tell u the truth. Men will always stray. If this guy is tell you that he wants to brake up it is becz he is seeing some one. The reason that he is going back on his word is cz he just whats to have his cake and eat it to. Yes there r some cases when men r faithful, but remember how much time do you really have. Do u want to be wearing about what he is doing???? U should leave thing 4 a wile and see where it goes if it is meant to be he will come back if not there are more men around u in this world.

Not all guys are jerks. Many long distance relationships do work . I have had two. Both worked with no problems. I would still be with the first but, the unexpected and unfortunate happened to me. He was killed in a snowmobile accident. We were together for almost three years one of which was based long distance. This new relationship has lasted close to two years and still going strong. It as well was started long distance. Trust is the key to any relationship. If both want it to work than it will. This is my best advice. If you have doubts state them clearly and maybe rethink if this long distance relationship is for you.

To answer your question, long distance relationships can work, but both parties have to be committed. From you answer you state that your boyfriend has already told you twice that he doesn't want to go on with your relationship. Believe it, if he's a dog and keeps coming around for sex that's it. That's what he wants - not a committed relationship. Just accept it and move on. You deserve much better. God Bless, Martha S.

Long distance relationships can work out but I don't know if they would if they are in two different countries I could see like a few states or even across the U.S.A but not two completely different countries since there is like no possiable way to get to one another unless one of you flys to each other and plans on moving in the same country. I can see both of your points you love him, and im sure he loves you but he feels as he'll never be able to meet you. If its ment to be things will work out!! GOOD LUCK!

Honey....boys aren´t jerks for that. You will find yourself also alone and feeling attracted for another man. In time if you don´t fell the other one close the feeling start to fade. We have been fed with images in movies of endless love, and guys going to war and writing letters every day....but that really doesn´t work unless you visit frequently. Don´t wonder now, you´ll know when its over. And also don't be the one that keeps the promise because you made it, if you feel for another follow your heart.
Good luck. (I´ve had 2 long distance relationships)

He's not being a jerk - he is just being normal. It's unrealistic to expect monogamy in a long distance relationship - especially one so young (2 years). Even older ones have problems. Either recognize this and accept it, or don't accept it and end it. You can always get back together later - if and when you reunite in the same city.

not all guys are like that, but many are. If your man is acting weird its because he has found someone else and most likely when he comes back to you its because the other girl has left him and he wants someone to talk to, which is you. If he really wanted to be with you than nothing would have changed and you wouldn't think he was straying, follow your heart and your senses, he's doing you wrong and there are nice guys out there!

If he chooses to stray because you're apart, then he really doesn't love you and you're better off without him. If he is of college age, you can assume that he is a jerk and that to him, sex is more important than feelings. That's how guys that age are.

Move on. And yes, all guys are after sex. Why in the world would we want to hang out with a girl other than to get sex?
