Men question: Why would you do this?
Why would a man ask personal questions about a boyfriend? For instance he has checked with me that I refer to him as an ex, he also asked if I was ready for a new relationship. He kept prolonged eye contact with me. After I said yes to both he became very flirty with me. We have been friends for ages and I always get compliments from him and big smiles. He has really put himself out to help me. If he likes me then how much? Is he basically saying he wants to be my boyfriend? Or is he a player? Help please.
Oh yes, and I also joked about my ex going on the xbox. To which he replied well I will have to stop playing on it then! What is he really trying to tell me?

Looks like he's testing the water before he dives in. His intentions could be honest or he could be a player its hard to tell from your descriptions. Most nice guys don't flirt or beat around the bush they will just ask you out on a date and see how it goes. He could just be joking around and just having a laugh to see how you react. There's no easy way to say what he's playing at. Best to trust your instincts and what you know about him. If you know hes genuine then just ask him. But if hes a player he will always be a player

He could just be dipping his toe in the water to test how things lie before he makes a move.I reckon he wants to know that you're single for def before he asks you out.He doesn't want to make a fool of himself so he's keeping himself right before he commits.Good luck!!

I think he is definitely interested in you and just wants to make sure you are single. Maybe he has been hurt before by jumping in too quick and wants too make sure you are not on the rebound . If you are interested in him then ask him as sometimes us guys aren't very good at picking up hints !

he does fancy you, that much strikes me as obvious, maybe hes testing the waters before he asks you out, he may have been hurt and is taking him time, try asking if hed like to go somewhere with you, i think youd be pleasantly surprised by his answer
