My bf has always said how he loves blondes and that any blonde girl is hot. I dyed my hair blonde because i felt like a change and because i thought he would really like it. My hair looks really good blonde but he just said he is trying to get over blondes and he wants me to dye it brunette. Then he said girls only go blonde to get more attention. Then jokinly said that he will ahve to find a new brunette. This really upset me, he also doesn't like me wering skirts. How should i take this? Is he just trying to stop other peopel lookint at me so i won't leave him?

The reason why he doesn't like you wearing skirt is because he is jealous that people be looking at you. He probably loves you very much, and he is saying all this thing to make you pay more attention to yourself then you do the girls that he make comments of.
If he is really looking for a brunette, then tell him go ahead and do it, I bet you he will regret doing that.
Most guys have fantasies, and I think that you shouldn't worry about what he is fantasizing about, I'm quite sure you fantasize about some other guy too.
Try to take him to the side and have a little chit chat, tell him that all his comments are hurting you. If he acts like its not his fault, then get a big pan, hit him on the head and break up with him and get you another guy that really deserves you.

I can relate to you here. A few years ago my now ex-fiance wanted me to dye my hair blonde. It looked terrible and my true friends told me this although he said he loved it. I like to dye my hair somewhat frequently but I normally stay within the browns and never again will I go any type of blonde!! Needless to say in the end my ex was not happy being with just one woman .. regardless of how many shades my hair changed or how he tried to change how I wore my makeup or change how I dressed or acted etc .. the list goes on and on. He ended up cheating on me (multiple times) and hense the reason he is now an ex. Your b/f is A. Being controlling of you and that is very unhealthy and B. It sounds like he doesn't want to be in a committed relationship at this point in time and you should find someone better for you!

By tone of writing, I'd say you're probably somewhere around High School. That said, that's a bit extreme. (If I'm right) you're at a time of your life where you need to be set up for independence, not dependence. You need to be set up to where you're strong in yourself, not with a boyfriend, a husband, or even most people you call friend.

Don't change that much for him, be you. You'll be Much happier that way! Leave him if he can't get over loving you outside of your looks.

"take me as i am or leave me alone". this should be your motto. it's obvious that he is toying with you to see how much you will adapt to what he says. don't be a fool for anyone. wear what you want when you want. after all, he likes seeing these things on other women. why not you? take that dye out of your hair and dress real sexy. go out with some friends and have some fun. you have to be you. if you lose sight of that, you've really got problems. after all, what attracted him to you in the first place? you must have been doing something right! don't be a doormat.

he tells you that ANY blond is hot and then when you color your hair blond doesn't like it...hrrm sounds a little weird to me. He also doesn't like you wearing skirts?? seems like he is a little too controling. he also sounds like the type that will always be on the prowl for a 'hot blond' to come along..

He sounds like a controlling jerk. Leave while you can. Guys who want that much control (hair color, clothes) often become abusive. At the very least they are hell to live with.

He's afraid you are going to get to much attention from other guys. Don't dye your hair if you don't want to. He will get over it and if not your better off without him.

You should leave him just for being such a sh*t head. My ex was very very very controlling and it was the most miserable relationship. You need to end it before it gets any worse.

If he is that controlling, I don't think he deserves you and for your hair color, whatever you think looks best on you and whatever you truly like is what you should stick with.

Some other advice, if only your appearance matters to him, I don't think he is in the relationship for the real you.

Do yourself a favour - never ever change yourself to please another person.

Be yourself - go back to your natural hair colour and be content with who you are and what god bless you with.

As for him being controlling - if you needed to ask you already knew the answer - get rid of him
