18 never had a boyfriend, feel like I will never get one. Why is it all my friends have had a boyfriend but not me. Is there something wrong with me, yes I am quiet person but that shouldnt affect me for who I am? Boys watch my friends but never me, life sucks. People stare at me because I look different, i get people talking about my looks behind my back and I used to get teased.
And please dont say I shouldnt care what people think because its the fact that boys dont chat me up because of what they think of me. Maybe I should get plastic surgery or something. At this age I should have a boyfriend by now, obviously no one wants me, what I am going to do? Is there anyone in my situation or am I just retarded?

Sweety you are not retarded! Trust me, although you feel like you need or want a boyfriend, you have been spared a lot of negative things. For example, what if you had a boyfriend and he broke your heart? You are much too young to think this way! In my opinion, I consider you to be a very lucky girl! But what do you mean by plastic surgery? Is there something THAT wrong with your face?! I don't think so. Take your time, go to school! Focus on the more important parts of life! Have fun! Well I'm 18, and I've only been with 2 guys, but one was a stupid wee 14 year old relationship, where you're too scared to even get 2 feet from each other, and the other lasted a week, the guy dumped me after a week! So I've bascially not had a proper boyfriend either, it bugs me sometimes, but you've just got to realise one day it will happen, just chat to the guys more and be yourself, promise you one day someone will come along and like you for you

ive never had a gf or a first kiss or any of that and im an 18 and i dont think theres anything wrong with me. i just dont really care enough to get a gf. seems like a lot of work and wasted money since its not very likely ill b marrying that person. id rather just have tight friends than a gf. gf's whine and cause trouble and get jealous and really restrict what you can do. they seem possessive and needy. id rather be free of all obligations and responsibilities and just go do what i want when i want. sure ill go meet some girls on vacations and stuff and just hang out with em. but thats all, i just like company. anyway, dont worry about it. im quite reserved and shy and all that too, but just think about all the good things that go along with not ahving a "significant other". my friend cant go 2 weeks without a gf and when he gets one they usually have about an 8 month fling, but his life is always hell. hes always bitchin and complaining. have fun, u dont need a bf.

I knew a girl in college that didn't have a boyfriend until she was 21. Her first boyfriend was one of my best friends, and they got married, and she is definitely an attractive female. Don't worry about age. The only boyfriend that matters is the last one, the one you're going to marry, (assuming marriage is your ultimate goal and not just "getting guys") and he will come along sooner or later! It doesn't matter if he is the only one as long as he's the right one. Just keep smiling!

No, its not bad if you dont have a boyfriend. I know you wont believe me when I say this, but maybe some of the boys are too intimidated to talk to you for whatever reason. Also, you are only 18..thats young. You have many years ahead of you to find the perfect guy that is just DYING to meet you. Keep yourself confident, youre beautiful the way you are.

I can relate. When I was 18 I had never had a boyfriend myself. I was quiet, but I was friendly and all of my brother's friends (many my age or slightly older) looked at me differently then they looked at other girls. Then I decided not to care. I decided I would befriend as many people as I could and show them who I was...and shortly later I fell in love with my best friend, and I have been happily married for nearly 2 years, and I have a wonderful baby girl. It didn't take a long time to find the right man when I gave up on looking for Mr.Right, and looked for a friend. I was 21 when we got married...keep your chin up, and go getem !

everyone matures at different times. just make a little effort to look your best (hair clothes make up) and be more outgoing. some guys are more shy than girls and sometimes they are too intiminated to talk to a girl because they dont want to get turned down. dont be jealous of your freinds you will find someone and maybe your love will last. good luck.

I don't think I felt as desperate as you at 18, sorry to say, but I want to give you hope. I'm still single, and I'm 23 and never had a "serious" boyfriend either.
