My boyfriend is really shy. I didn't want to make the first move, b/c I'm kinda old-fashioned, but I did make it very clear to him that I liked him. I know that he liked that I made sure he knew how I felt and that I only pursued a friendship even though I wanted more. He's told me that he was really glad that I never asked him out, that I gave him the chance to be the "man" or whatever. In my case, he didn't want me to make the first move, but I don't know if it's like that for all shy guys. Some might prefer the girl making the first move so he doesn't have to.

She may were shy because she became round her friends. the different females will likely tease her later--females could properly be resembling adult males about those issues. She also likely needs to make certain if her friends imagine you're an ok guy before she admits to liking you again. I was shy when I met the wife when we first met...she made the first move...I love it and we are going on 16 yrs marriage..
