Miserable is not literally "miserable" in the Spanish language, depending on the context.

Both - it depends how you use it....
serás miserable - as in: you will be a miserable person (for life) if you lose all hope..... boo hoo
or
estarás miserable - as in: you will be miserable (momentarily) if your icecream drops out the cone.... hehehe

It depends...
If you mean a mood (If it rains, you will be miserable), it would be estaras.
If you mean something more permanent like a personality characteristic (If you go into X field, you will be miserable all your life), it would be seras.
So, this one depends on context.
