According to Greta Garbage, author of 'That's Disgusting: An
Adult Guide to What's Gross, tasteless, Crude and Lewd',
the average person burps approximately fifteen times a day.
A study by the USDA indicates that people exhale about 450
Liters per day. Assuming that a burp is approximately the
same volume as exhaling one time. and we exhale about every two seconds, then:

450L/[30/min*60min*24hours]=
.0104L

15(burps)*.0104L=.156L, or about
156mL CO2 per day.

Since 1L=.2641720523 Gallons, then

.156L *.26417Gallons/Liter=.041 Gallons/day

So we'd have to burp for 1/.041=approx 24 days to get even
one gallon of CO2 from burping alone.

Since most of the CO2 we exhale comes from exhaling (out
of 450L per day, only .156L, or a meager .035%, from
burping), it is probably more useful to compute the human
contribution to global CO2 production from that figure.

The 450 L we exhale amounts to about 900g, or .9kg.

Assuming (since we don't have the exact figure) that there are 6.6x10^9 people (6.6billion), then they produce, per day:
450L*6.6x10^9=2.97x10^12L/day from people exhaling, or
.9kg*6.6x10^9=5.94x10^9kg of CO2 exhaled per day.

Per year, Carbon emissions constitute about 7 billion metric
tons (from US Dept. of Energy's Carbon Dioxide Information
Analysis Center) , or 7x10^12kg of carbon emissions/year.
Note that of the mass of a CO2 molecule, only 27.3% is Carbon by mass (the rest being oxygen). Therefore,
5.94x10^9kg * 27.3%=1.62x10^9kg of Carbon from exhaling/year.

In sum:

There are 7x10^12kg of Carbon emissions per year.
1.26x10^9kg, or 2.314x10^-4, or about .023% of all \
Carbon emissions come from exhaling.

But out of that, only 8.1x10^-8, or .0000081% of
all Carbon emissions are from burping.

That's .0000081% of all Carbon emissions/year. A really really tiny amount.

So now you know how much burping contributes to CO2 levels.

I wanted to offset my farts, it´s going to be cheap.

With one tone of CO2e I can offset the fart of an entire town.
