When you need to cry on stage, stare at the spot-light and try not to blink. If that doesn't work for you, cover your face with your hands 'til you need to say a line, when you bring your face out it will look red like you've been crying.

Call me old-fashioned but this is my theory on making yourself cry. I have been taught acting by a lot of really professional teachers and never in my life have I done a scene where I have to make myself look like I am crying. I really cry. All those tricks take too much thinking for you to pull them off correctly. You should be hearing and responding to what the characters are saying to you. That should trigger some sort of emotion. If not enough, make the character relevant to yourself: make yourself an 'as is' moment. Example: "It's like that one time last summer when my ex was cought cheating on (fill in the blank here)." So you would think about that one time where so-and-so did so-and-so to so-and-so and you felt blah-de-blah.

If all that fails - tell yourself not to cry. Yell it into your skull.

it all depends. i use tear drops and i start crying just before i go on, and then i pull it together. i act all the time and another helpful tip is to rub ur hands on ur eyes for a couple of minutes. this also helps because u look like ur were wiping away ur tears

Some persons think of a sad thought or experience and make the tears flow. (That works for me.) Others put a sweet liquid called glycerine on their lower lids and have it drip down.

buy a pot of carmex (the minty chapstick stuff, its in a yellow tin) for a dollar. then rub it under your eyes. they'll water like crazy, and even get a little puffy. it wont hurt though, dont worry. if you cant find carmex then original chapstick (in the black tube) will work also.

Think of something that was really sad that you'll remember. If you cannot think of something, think of something REALLY sad that WILL happen. Make stuff up, trust me, you'll cry.
