My hair is really pretty and smooth after i straigten, except for the ends. The ends look really bad. I just got my haircut today, so its not because of split ends. I always use moisturizing conditioner in the shower and leave in conditioner afterwards, so its not because my hair is dry. When i straighten my hair, i always use a specail flat iron protector spray stuff. And afterwards the ends look really bad, even though i am very careful. Then i put some hair silk drops on the ends, and it helps a little, but it still isn't like i want it. So please tell me what i am doing wrong, or what products i can buy to make the ends look good. Oh yeah....nothing too expensive, and please be specific. THANKS A BUNCH!!!

Stop straightening your hair, as you can see that it's doing damage to the ends. There's nothing to fix that other than taking away the cause.

Well you are doing every thing I was going to suggest so the only thing I can think of is try flat ironing smaller sections. Don't leave the iron on the strands for too long. You may have already damaged the hair if you haven't been using protective product for the heat. Never flat iron your hair is it is not completly dry. Try using Paul Mitchell Supper Skinny shampoo it is a little more expenisive since it is professional line product.

Your hair dresser should have suggested a cellophane rinse.
It is like a die treatment but instead of color it adds shine and seals the cuticle layer of the hair. It sounds like it is not split ends but fried cuticles are the problem.
The rinse runs from 40 to 80.00 but usually last about three months and I believe you can use it on treated hair. Everyone I know who has done it, swears by the results.
Hope this helped.
One other thing. Conditioner build up can cause the drying effect as well. Ask your hair dresser about using a shampoo made for this before you do the rinse.

Is your hair product a protector against heat? I don't even know if those products will protect that much when the heat is too hot and frequent. You may have to face the fact that your hair style choice causes damage. What about getting a more natural style that doesn't cause serious damage?

You need to get your ends "thinned" its a slight layer at the bottom of the hair to make it smooth when you straighten it rather then having the chopped burnt end look. Tell your beautician " I need my ends thinned out" they will know what to do... And your Problem is solved.
Dont listen to the people below, You said you already got a trim, Its because your hair is too thick at the ends.... Herbal essence is the worst product you could ever use for hair.

Hair stateners, blow dryers, and curling irons always give people really bad dead ends. You could use really good conditioners on you hair. That Hello Hydration from herbal Essenes works really well.

Stop using a blow dryer and straightening your hair. Once the hair is damaged, no product can get it back to normal. If you must "style" your hair, at least give it a break on the weekends or at night. (example, if you take a shower at night, dont blow dry it! let dry naturally)

It only means what you are using is strong for your hair so better stop it. Why not use the procedure on special occasions so you can relax your hair on ordinary days. Ask suggestions at respected parlors, they can recommend you products suitable for your needs.

you know how when you put on too much hand lotion, theres a thin layer of cream left? well do that, and rub the cream into the ends of your hair after you straighten it. it should tame the ends and moisturize them. you should use a fine comb and comb through the ends so they dont get clumpy.
