...three legged dog, Skittles, be able to play the trombone again after his skiing accident in the Andes mountains? Or will I have to teach him to play cards like the other dogs?

Unfortunately, it looks like trombone playing is out of the question. The triangle is always available, however. (The rejects of instruments for your reject of a dog)

I'm sorry to tell you this but the trombone is out of the question but he might be able to pick up the tuba. But cards are a dogs natural.

I would teach him cards anyway. And after a month or so he will be back to playing that Trombone.
