It's the way we solve problems in our lives, even when we don't realize it.

Observation: The last time I went on the train I was cold.
Hypothesis: The temperature is colder on the train than I find to be comfortable.
Prediction: If I wear a sweater on the train, I won't be cold.
Experiment:
--Control set-up: I already went on the train without a sweater, and I was cold.
--Experimental set-up: I'll go on the train with a sweater.
--Variable: sweater


My neighbor's roses bloom earlier than mine. Her roses are on the south side of the house.
I'll move mine to the south side of the house and see if they bloom early, too.
