Why is my ex lying to me?

Why has my ex lied to me 3 times about the reason why she broke up with me? Is she unsure of why she broke up with me or is she just to emberrased? What is she doing?

It could be many things. Maybe she broke up with you for a reason that she thinks might upset you or hurt you, and so she is trying to keep quiet. She also may just want to remain civil with you and just thinks lying is a better cover up and that maybe when you're satisfied with an answer you won't ask anymore. There could be two reasons why she is lying to you. One, she doesn't want to hurt your feelings.
