My opinion is that Satan is only an imaginary character that was created by those who wished to scare others into religious submission. The Great and magnificent Master of this universe God is not vengeful, jealous, judgmental or any
of the other incredulous things the zealots claim.

If the person "follows Satan" he will be one of his disciples and will detest Jesus and all things Holy.
Try holding the Crucifix y to him. If he shuns away quickly, moves his eyes away or will not touch it, there is prove enough. Those that follow Satan hate the Crucifix because Satan hates it. Satan hates that with Jesus death, death and suffering were conquered and that Jesus redeemed us to the Father with his Death on the Cross.
Also if you can get some Holy Water near him and if he is Satan's Follower, that will for sure, turn him to run. Where to get Holy Water, check at a Catholic Church.
Also, You will not be able to look into his eyes. The eyes are the windows of the soul, it is said, so if you can get close to look at his eyes, you will know where is soul is at. If he is with Satan, there will be no warmth, nor light shining through his eyes. His eyes will have hollowness and darkness. Satan is the God of Darkness and it his followers will be like him.

Well, I'm not a Satanist, but the term has been blown up in popular culture and doesn't reflect the beliefs any more. Essentially they advocate personal freedom, almost to the point of anarchy, in all realms- sexual being the most sensationalistic. Basically they see the Anti-Christ as being just that- the opposite of God, who they view as controlling, maniuplative, and wishing to reduce humans to his slaves/worshippers.
So telling if someone "follows Satan"? I can't think of how. Black clothing and heavy body modifications are often just for show and attention- just like the "goth" phase kids go through in high school. It's not an ideology, just a physical manifestation of their feelings of isolation from society.

Satan was created as a personification of greed and evil. Satan is pretty much greed. So greedy, hateful people could be said to be following Satan, but Satan is not an actual entity so much as a concept.
Satanism advocates selfishness, another part of greed and evil.
Whether or not you believe Jesus is your imaginary friend or not is irrelevant.

Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

you ppl need to be more open to hearing about satanism. santinism isn't as bad as it made out to be. yes, they are some ppl who take it in a negative way and sacrifice animals which a true satanist would be against. it was on the tyra show recently and it's pretty peaceful. really research something before condemning something.

The same way you can tell if a Christian or Muslim or whatever follows their respective diety.... observation. Knowing thier beliefs would help though, as most people are just normal people other than on Sunday mornings (or during their respective worship times).
...too many bloody hypocrites.

You can be 100% sure that nobody follows Satan, because Satan does not exist. Whatever is going on with them is a product of their own mind and has a logical explanation.
