The big three religions are relics of cavepeople (see Geico commercials). While these cavepeople found a few practical themes, they really werent that bright, and certainly not from God, as they claimed.

Creating a moral code first requires an overall purpose. The following moral code I will quickly shot-off from the top of my head will serve humanity. The purpose is to create the highest degree of happiness (Utilitarian like) while at the same time, fostering a culture whose technological advancement continues to increase human life-spans at the fast possible rate (promote tech.).

Ideal code:

1. Promoting happiness within yourself and among people you meet is the highest virtue of all because life is all we have and thus every moment happiness is felt, the highest good is achieved.

2. Happiness: A subset of freedom. Its highest form can only exist in people who are self-reliant and not dependant because dependant people are always insecure.

Well, happiness is difficult to define, it is mostly a personal issue. But you can basically say that the job of ethics is to minimize the harm afflicted to human beings (and other sentient beings eventually), and to promote freedom in any case where no harm is done.

Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.

That is why the Old Testament version of the Middle Eastern God just doesn´t work.

That God would never tolerate being treated in the way he treats humans....starving them to death in Africa, killing them in wars, deforming children, telling them to stone each other to death for working on the Sabbath.

Just what is the connection between happiness and morality? Stop being so pretentious! You really aren't as philosophical as you would like to believe. Take a course!

i will study Christ's teachings and cling to them as terrific i will. to love God with all your heart, concepts and soul, and to love your neighbor as your self...to love your neighbor as God loves us, is in actuality, the main better ethical code primary to guy. in case you like God first, extremely the embodiment of excellent, Our author, and Heavenly Father, then in this subject out of affection for Him, you will deal consisting of your fellow person as God loves us...as we ourselves might prefer to be dealt with...and subsequently there could be no incorrect that someone might do to a various person. in spite of if, we are human and we do make errors, and it somewhat is in those vulnerable moments, as quickly as we don't Love God first, and as a substitute love ourselves greater, that we harm others by using our selfishness. it somewhat is our overlook of this loving approach, this appropriate morality that fosters all way of sins against one yet another...jealousy, envy, hatred, greed, lust, etc etc. This morality isn't justifying barbarism, it denounces it in each and every way. given which you seem to precise non secular doctrines adhered to by using some extremist radicals and anticipate that it is the morality of religion, you may basically see the tiny image...a miniscule illustration of non secular morality. What Christ teaches us, as our authentic ethical authority, is how each and every physique without exception might opt to be dealt with if that they had a call. Take Care and God Bless.

Our moral code begins and ends with God. It doesn't get any better than that. So far, you haven't come up with anything original.
