I agree with soma366. You don't have to eat as soon as you get up, but do eat. Skipping breakfast will slow down your metabolism. And don't think you have to eat "breakfast food", eat whatever you want! If salad is good, eat it. My favorite thing? Grilled cheese sandwich!!

If you can eat a salad, what is in the salad that is not part of the breakfast foods you can't eat? Have you tried other foods besides breakfast foods for breakfast? And have you tried eating breakfast for lunch or supper? If you did eat like that -- "reversed" -- what is the effect? Basically, have you ruled out food allergies?

It takes time for you stomach to wake up and get moving. It takes the stomach 20-30 minutes to communicate to the body that it is hungry or full. So try waiting an hour or so or eat when you are hungry! That is most of Americans problems is that they eat when they're "supposed" to not when they're hungry!

Nothing wrong with salad for breakfast...try a hard boiled egg with it or a chunk of chhese (both have protein and help kill hunger and cravings). Have you heard of the reverse diet? Dinner for breakfast, small lunch and breakfast for supper...sounds wierd but logical!

A mid morning diet drink works well for me. No breakfast is a hard meal for many.

many people I know cannot eat until a few hours after they wake up, try waking up a bit earlier than usual. Eat after you have been awake for a while.

There are alot of people who can't eat until they've been up for a couple of hours, including myself. If you're weird, then I'm weird too.
