My little sister has 2 children in her class who have cancer. a little boy and a little girl. What are your thoughts on this?? (p.s. I'm not making this up! it's true!!)

I'd make sure that the Centers for Disease Control are notified. Any epidemiological organization in your area would be interested to know that two children of the same age developed cancer in the same geographical area. They can come out and survey the area for environmental causes that may be linked to the children. It sounds to weird to be coincidence.

I know quite a few young children with cancer so this does not surprise me. One little kindergarten student just recently discovered that he is 'no evidence of disease' after 15 months of treatment. He had a very rare abdominal sarcoma (the same as my son) that has a 15% chance. We have been so thrilled for this family.

It can happen. My son had cancer at 3 1/2 yrs old. He is 5 now.
Make sure she STRESSES handwashing and sanitizes the classroom daily. Also have her ask the parents of these children if their doctor recommends that they stay away for children that have had a live virus vaccine. If the doctors recommend this than she will need the other parents in the class to notify her if their child receives one. Make sure that she also tells all the parents to NOT send their child to school sick.

Its sad but now days most children survive childhood cancer.My nephew had ALL cancer when he was 3 and he is almost 13 and very healthy now.We did have a few close calls when he was 3.

Well... I can understand why are you surprised, but believe me, they will get better, childhood cancer has an excellent curation rate. Tell your little sister to be nice and pray for them because right now they are fighting a hard battle. They will be better in a couple of years, you'll see...

don't give up hope on them because there is a good chance they could live a full life with family and friends who support them.
