I like him more than a friend, but I don't want to tell him yet...even though I think he knows already. I think he likes me back. He keeps telling me hes not going to go because he doesnt have a date. Well how should I ask him? I need something cute that hints that I like him but doesn't come right out and say it.

Just say something like, "You know, you and I always have fun together. I think it would be a good idea to go to the prom together. What do you think?"

The next time he says, "I'm not going -- I don't have a date!" say, "Would you go if I was your date?" I'm sure he'd say yes -- this is because a similar thing happened with me and one of my guy friends. He said, "I don't have a date to homecoming." I (stupidly!!!) replied with, "Oh... well, does your friend Julie have a date?" implying he should ask her. It was the dumbest thing I could have said, but I was afraid he didn't mean he wanted me to be his date. I later found out he was trying to hint that he wanted to go with me, and I was just being dense. He ended up going alone, and I just stayed at home since he went to another school. If I had just said, "I'll go with you!" we would have gotten together a month earlier. :)

just ask him to go with you as a friend and then later on when you are in the place tell him how you feel and if he feels the same way then awesome you two can be together.
ps - maybe when he is saying he is not going becuz he doesnt have a date he is trying to drop a hint to you he wants to go with you.

just go up to him and ask him, but ask him in a way that just shows you want to go with him as a friend. And then later in prom tell him how you really feel.

What about something simple like buying the tickets to prom and a card and ask him to go to dinner then give him the card.

firs off you might want to start by flirting with him and if he flirts with you back then mabye you should give him the hint that you would like to go to prom with him and then see what he says and if he rejects you as a like bf gf date then say i just wanted to go as friends but i doubt that he will turn you down!

k wat id do is to ask one of his friends if they would do some snooping for you and ask them if they would c if he likes you and if he does then write him a note asking him to the prom and give it to him right before he goes home so you know no one will c it i mean its not a big deal if anyone sees it or anything but if you dont want anyone to c give it to him right before he leaves school
