Downloads are slow because of the massive amounts of people all trying to use the server along with you. The sites have the option of either making you wait for a download, or letting everyone download at a snails pace. Your best bet would be to get the roms off of Limewire, as long as you can be sure that they are not fakes or viruses.

And don't worry about the Feds; they don't track you down. I downloaded hundreds of games just before I joined the military; either no one knew, or none cared. Emulators were NOT designed for you to learn to code your own games. They were designed to play games that you legally own, which is in itself illegal, as defined by Atari vs. JS&A; you are not allowed to possess copies of games you own. If emulators were designed for programming, why include DirectX support for controllers, Game Genie/Game Shark support, IPS patches, Kaillera networking, or the ability to support both NTSC and PAL cartridges? One can play a game just as easily with a keyboard, cheats can be programmed into most games i.e. Konami code, networking is not needed to test a multi-player game; a simple computer program can do that, and it is very unlikely that your game will ever be played on real hardware in Japan.

that's illegitimate to possess any ROMs, whether you very own the unique recreation. this is Nintendo's stance besides. the difficulty lies in what human beings do with the ROMs. while they use a SNES ROM to play on a computer, this is copyright infringements because of the fact the recreation is used on something that it wasn't meant for. it somewhat is criminal to possess an emulator because of the fact an emulator via itself would not do something. web pages which have ROMs can stay in operation because of the fact the video recreation marketplace hasn't been cracking down on those web pages. The watchdog for the video recreation marketplace hasn't been doing its activity. you could no longer even e mail it to record web pages that contains ROMs. The RIAA and MPAA have been cracking down on web pages that supplies pirated music and videos, however the ESA hasn't been doing something.
