I've never been there but my fundy neighbor is looking for a good place to practice burying his head in the sand.

If he believes and prays hard enough, sand will come to him, and it will be good. Try tickling his toes while he is burying his head, just for a reaction. You, Gandalf, will not be allowed to play in his sandbox though, for you didn't believe in the SandMaster. The SandMaster only brings you sand if you believe. You are perhaps best off going to Cancun on your own - beaches, sand, wining, dining, and plenty of Godlessness there! In fact, could you buy me a ticket to join you? I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment.

Definitely an amazing place to visit. I was just recently there in the middle of February. Though there isn't much to do in Cancun the city, if you stay on the strip or take a tour you're bound to have fun.

There is a picturesque outdoor mall called La Isla which has high fashion stores as well as different things such as a corner "CVS" type store.

There are many restaurants in Cancun that aren't in the States that are well worth visiting (and I mean well worth it!) Captains Cove is an amazing one. After the hurricane it was completely destroyed but they've built it up again and now it's better than ever. A new one Puerto Madares (I'm fairly sure that's what it's called) is as nice, if not nicer than a high class California restaurant for half the price. It'll be the only place you'll want to eat.

If I could recomend a few hotels. Just this year we stood at the Le Meridian, they treat you like royalty and the great thing about it is that if your an American Express starwood member and have enough points, you can stay their virtually for free!
Others are the Royal Mayan (which is apart of a trio of Royal's down there). If you are considering going to Cancun yearly, I suggest buying a timeshare at this hotel. We used to own there, but ended up having to sell it.

I can't believe I've forgotten the beaches. MY! The beaches are b-e-a-u-tiful. Clean white sand which crystal clear water. Breathtaking. Though, I shall warn you, that the second week in April is their "Jelly fish season". Thymbul Jellyfish appear in the water, and though not everyone is allergic (I was -_-) it isn't always fun to swim in the water with tiny floating jellyfish. Their are times when, during this season, the jelly fish aren't seen in the ocean, though this is the most dangerous time because thats when they sting; it's because they are "babies" . Though if you were to go into the ocean with the larger ones, they don't sting, just...get in the way.

Cancun is definitely a place to visit. Though you might not want to go when it's Spring Break just because of the hectic time you'd be having with all the College and Highschool Seniors that I'm sure will be there.

I hope I've helped you out!

I have been to Cancun. Your fundy neighbor might be slightly bothered by the topless women on the beach. I learned just to not look or ignore them. The Carribean is beautiful, and there is plenty of sightseeing and good food!

Cancun's beaches are nice, but honestly, do you want to litter them up that way? Send your neighbor to the Sahara. At least the lions can have a nice lunch ;)

I'd have to say Australia, I enjoy hiding in the sand.
They have dingos in Australia, and rabid Wombats.

Go to Long Island, it's cheaper and they speak our language (there's plenty of sand!).
