Ok so I am 6 months pregnant. I have noticed like the last month or so my pee has been smelling kind of weird. It doesn't burn when I pee so I didn't think much of it, i just figured it was from the prenatals I am taking. But now I have something that is really starting to worry me... I can't be "WITH" my boyfriend... every time we try it just feels like he is jabbing something inside of me. Like there is something sticking out. It hurts VERY badly when we try so we don't force it. At first I figured maybe it was because I was sore or something from the last time we did it but I went like a week or two without it at all and then when we tried again the same thing happens. I have an appointment on the 22nd, should I try to get in sooner to get looked at or should I be fine until then? What could it be? Did anyone else experience this same thing? Oh and is it noraml to get pain on either side ever so often and it hurts to touch or move?

You shouldn't be in that much pain at six months.

I think you should get checked by a doctor. They're pretty used to seeing pregnant women who "just want to be sure". It's better to do that than to assume you're over-reacting and have something actually go wrong.

I wouldn't have sex until I got checked, if I were you.

It could be nothing. When you're pregnant, it's amazing the things that can just feel different or be different.

I think you should talk to your doctor to make sure, though. It could even be something that has nothing to do with the pregnancy itself, but the symptoms just get ignored because you assume it's natural (my sister just had her gallbladder out, she didn't ever think to get it checked because her complaints were nausea and general achiness because she was pregnant).

Try to get an appointment sooner rather than later. Postpone sex until you find out more about what's going on. Call one of those nurse hotlines if you can't go in right away, and see what they think.

Call your doctor's office and explain the situation to the nurse. She will know if you need to come in earlier and if she doesn't know, have her ask the doctor. I didn't have any pain like this but that doesn't mean anything. Take care of yourself.
