This must be done with the soul this must be felt with ever beat of the bongos you must be spiritual to obtain this fortunate talent you must call on your forefathers and your continent your people you must become one with the Bongos and the Congo's for they belong to us they are calling sound and they are communicating instruments now - did you know that in Africa they would chat with the beat of the Bongo &Congo
You must first know the history of you your people and your instrument you must cry on it and laugh with it!
you become the bongo and it becomes you! become one with the bongo and play til you begin to cry and love it and take care of the instrument alright! pray on this before you begin to play!
I can play very well! all you need is spirutuality culture and love for your people!
Dont play rigid let your self get limbo and release the beat dont worry about sound just drum and you shall begin to formulate your own beat and your rhythem is all yours your own it!
OH! You must know there must be a place were can play they are very loud! try the park or cellar! or go to the dance halls they always need bongo and congo players
try theatres also they shall help you and give you space to learn!

Idk, i play percussion in my school band, and i hate playing thoes things i feel like a dork. haha. you pretty much just hit the drum with your hand and hope it sounds good. follow the rhythem of the music. theres no set rules in playing it, you just play what you feel like. i hope you are secsessful in your desire to play the bongos buddy ;)
