foreign folklore?

any one have good folklore that would be a good basis for writing a book... ie: Irish folklore with the Hound of Ulster.... red branch is the book...

My opinion is that even is almost one of the smallest country from Europe, Romanian folklore is one of the best for writing a book, or maybe more than 5 books :) If you need help just let me know
