What is the closest a australian shepherd has bonded to u? I want to get one but I want to make sure they bond well. Also, if I was to raise her/him would she bond more with me than anyone else? I plan to take her to the park most everyday, She will have 2 of my other dogs to play with, and she will have Acres to play on.

Well my Aussie/Golden Retriever mix is the most loveable dog ever. She is great. She loves to be around people and other animals and she will love on you all the time. she is the friendliest dog. But because she is a mixed breed it could be some of the golden personality. But as long as you train them well you should have no problem. I have seen many farmers bring in their aussies and border collies and they have a stronger relationship than some other people and their dogs do. The ones I am talking about the owner and the dog cant function without the other. I dont think you will have a problem finding a good pet but you need to make sure they have something to because they are herding dogs and if they dont have something to herd they may herd any children around. Good luck

Australian Shepherd's are smart and loving. I had a mix Australian Shepard/Doberman and she was wonderful and incredibly smart (the Vet claimed that A.Shep's are the top of the food chain in the IQ department). I had a wonderful relationship with her and missed her terribly, however I God has dropped another A.Shep/Doberman (no kidding, both were pound pups..imagine the odds!) who has the same temperament and smarts.
If you have the chance to adopt a full bred, I would strongly suggest it.

We have had two in our Schutzhund club.. very athletic dog.. very well behaved and bonded to their trainers like no other... they have loyalty.

Be careful that she does not bond to the other dogs rather than you..

Just a little warning anytime dogs are together more than 2 at a time.. they will start to pack.

I have no experience myself but I find the temperament part of these websites is very useful.
