The purpose of a credit report is to show how you pay your bills. You cannot just remove things because they were not paid timely. If it is not yours or is reporting incorrectly you can dispute it, but otherwise if you did not pay the bill then it will continue to show (as it should).

The only way you can have something removed from your credit report is to challenge it with the credit bureaus. But you have to have a valid reason for the challenge. Be prepared to prove it. If you do? Get in touch with the credit bureaus that are reporting the negative and challenge it. They have 30-days to prove that it's true or they have to remove it.

You must be young. It will take an act of congress to get them to take anything negative off of your credit report... they are eager, however, to put negative things on your credit report.
Seriously, you have to write to the credit recording agency, and if it is on all three, you will have to write to all three. You can find the addresses online by typing in experion, transunion, and equifax. You can email them, but you will stilll have to do everything in writing.
Then you will have to first prove to them that you are who you are. After that, you will have to send them proof of what you are saying should be changed. Then they probably won't change it anyway... I am not kidding and I speak from experience. It is a big rotten ridiculous game, designed to make you pay...
Credit cards should be called debt cards. Good luck.

If the information is true, you can't legally have it removed. If it is false, follow the 'dispute' procedure shown at the end of the report.

They don't give you a specific department to talk to. In fact, good luck actually getting someone on the phone.
I would do the following - it worked for me:
Go to www.creditexpert.com, pull a copy of your latest report and click the "dispute" button.
An area will be provided for you to explain your discrepancy.
They resolved mine (and emailed me confirmation) within 3 weeks. My credit score instantly rose by 20 points.
Good luck.
