You can't apply for a visa in Canada with a DUI or DWI as far as other countries I don't know, but I would guess not.

Yes. For example you could not apply for immigration or even enter canada legally with a us dui. that wouild prevent you from changing from a legal perm resident to becoming a us citizen. each nation has different laws. go find them at www.travel.state.gov the rules for all the nations are on that site

for each nations rules. best to check thier customs and border rules too. you could be allowed to get there only to be deported or held.

It is considered a "Crime Involving Moral Turpitude" only for Canada, not the U.S. Although, there has been more and more talk about denying admission to someone with a seveal DUI convictions as a mental defect. (They didn't learn from their mistakes so they must have a mental condition that is a danger to themselves or others.)
