Hi there...
Scientific facts mentioned in the Qur'an since 1400 years ago are being discovered today... You can go through Dr. Zakir Niak's debates and lectures on dvd's and get the clear picture of Islam... "Islam: modernising or outdated"... "Women's rights in Islam"... "Is Qur'an God's word" etc... That is how I too learned of the miracles of this religion...

Peace...

"proff" ?? Am not sure.

If Islam exists? I guess it does. Islam is the second largest religion to Christianity. Like the Jews, they are still waiting for the Messiah to come [for the first time]. The books in the Old Testaments are also in the Quran. Difference is, the Christians were given the renewal of Faith with the truth of Jesus Christ.

The Quran, which was revealed fourteen centuries ago, mentioned facts only recently discovered or proven by scientists. This proves without doubt that the Quran must be the literal word of God, revealed by Him to the Prophet Muhammad , and that the Quran was not authored by Muhammad or by any other human being. This also proves that Muhammad is truly a prophet sent by God.
The Quran discussed the embryonic development 14 centuries ago:
"We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)... " (Quran, 23:12-14)

1-The (alaqa) stage of the embryo resembles a leech, the embryo at this stage obtains nourishment from the blood of the mother just like a leech.
2-The second meaning of the word alaqah is “suspended thing.” The embryo is suspended, during the alaqah stage, in the womb of the mother. (15 days old)
3-The third meaning of the word alaqah is “blood clot.” We find that the external appearance of the embryo and its sacs during the alaqah stage is similar to that of a blood clot. This is due to the presence of relatively large amounts of blood present in the embryo .Also during this stage, the blood in the embryo does not circulate until the end of the third week. Thus, the embryo at this stage is like a clot of blood.

This is just one of many....

Really, there is no scientific proof that any religion is true. There is actually a $10,000 prize in the United States for the person who can prove the existence of a spiritual realm.

However, it it was possible to prove, we would have lost our free will! And God would not let this happen.

Therefore, you will have to prove to yourself though your personal relationship with God that he is true.

The way to find out which religion is the correct one, is to line it up with what you know about the heart of God. The heart of God is generally summarized by the following passage. (which happens to be from the bible, but it could be from anywhere):

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

For example, if you believe that killing in the name of God is acceptable, then you are not part of the kingdom of God.

Also, ask yourself, what is this religion asking me to do? If it conflicts with the above passage, then it is also not the correct religion.

No. It's all Muhammad's word, or what people can remember that he said. Without him there is no islam. No history, no prophecies or fulfillment of them, no miracles, no witnesses, no means of salvation. Just Muhammad having seizures and then revelations from allah. Parts are stolen, twisted and manipulated from Judaism and Christianity. It's true in the sense that some people believe. There's no proof it's peaceful or from God. Actually there's plenty of evidence to the contrary.

May God Bless you.

There is no proof that anything about any religion is true. Most people are just born into their religion and if your religion, WHATEVER it is, makes you be the best you can be, then it's working for you. If you're a Christian and it makes you want a crusade so you can kill all nonbelievers, then it's not working, if you're a Muslim and you get on a aplane and you fly it into a building, then it's not working. If you're a Jew and you oppress the people you've displaced as badly as you were once oppressed, then it's not working.
There is good and bad in every religion. Find the good in yours, which ever one it may be.

there is a huge number of proofs available if you want to have a look,
& you know, the god is the most merciful yet he chosen to put huge number of people in the hell, do you know why?
because they were so ignorant & blind from seeing the truth & they wanted to blind others as well by making false statements about islam & muslims.

Read about Islam from Muslim sources ONLY,
non-muslims will never say any good about Islam & I'm sure you know why.

Islam doesn't even have an original Qur'an. It was made up supposedly from "memory" and a few scraps found under a bed. This was about 150 - 200 years after Muhammad died at his wife Ayish's home in Medina, and he was lowered into a hole in the ground, where he remains.

Al Bukhari, a Muslim scholar of the 9th-10th century, and the most authoritative of the Muslim tradition compilers, writes that whenever Muhammad fell into one of his unpredictable trances his revelations were written on whatever was handy at the time. The leg or thigh bones of dead animals were used, as well as palm leaves, parchments, papers, skins, mats, stones, and bark. And when there was nothing at hand the attempt was made by his disciples to memorize it as closely as possible.

Zaid b. Thabit said: “The Prophet died and the Qur’an had not been assembled into a single place.” (p. 118, Ahmad b. `Ali b. Muhammad al `Asqalani, ibn Hajar, "Fath al Bari", 13 vols, Cairo, 1939/1348, volume 9, page 9)

Zuhri reports, 'We have heard that many Qur'an passages were revealed but that those who had memorized them fell in the Yemama fighting. Those passages had not been written down, and following the deaths of those who knew them, were no longer known; nor had Abu Bakr, nor `Umar nor `Uthman as yet collected the texts of the Qur'an.

“During the battle of Yamama, 450 reciters of the Quran were killed.” (The True Guidance, An Introduction To Quranic Studies, part 4 [Light of Life - P.O. BOX 13, A-9503 Villach, Austria], p. 47- citing Ibn Kathir’s Al-Bidaya wa al-Nibaya, chapter on Battle of Yamama).

Nope. It is a religion that has gained converts by the sword to this day. It has borrowed heavily from Christianity and Judaism. A previous answerer is right though ... it has remained unchanged for 1350 years. Ergo, an orthodox Muslim is still living in a 7th century mindset. We weren't very civilized in the 7th century, so it's pretty scary!
