First of all, how old are the kids? You should be enjoying this time with them while you can. I took time off from work to have surgery a year ago and haven't gone back. My hubby and I decided it was worth it to sacrifice so I could be there for them while they are young. Depending on what your kids like to do, plan a tea party where you just sit around and talk or draw, do crafts together...have a slumber party....a day where you stay in your pajamas and read stories together and watch movies and play all day. My kids love it the most when I get down on their level and just spend time playing the things they are playing. The important thing about being a parent is there is no right or wrong way, as long as you show them you love them every chance you get. Good luck with the cabin fever, I go through it too. Take a moment and count your blessings. Think of how many working moms would love to be in your shoes.

Here are a couple ideas:
-If you're within walking distance to a park, take the kids there and have a picnic and play for the afternoon. Take bread to feed the ducks
- Find some crafts you can do with the kids. There are a lot of resources online
- See if there are other moms in your neighborhood or area who want to get together for a play group.
Whatever you do, enjoy your time with your kids while you have it! You might miss them when you go back!

Take advantage of your time being with your kids before you have to go back to work. They love the quality time with there parents.......Play games in or outdoors with them.......Make cookies with them or do crafts with them. Call another stay at home mom and plan a trip to a park and ask if she can drive since you don't have a car. There is so much to do with your kids......If you don't know what to do ask them and I am sure they will have plenty of ideas and suggestions enjoy them while there young and while you can because life goes by quick enough and they wont be kids for too long... They will remember and appreciate you doing this for them always..........

Clearly your first responsibility is to make certain your kids are happy and loved. That should not be boring. I understand that you need more stimulation and adult company also. If you have a partner, you should speak to him and tell him how you feel, maybe you can hire a baby sitter and go out with him a couple of night a week. When the children are in bed, talk to each other about adult things.

Read a book, take the kids for a walk, play a game of croquet with the kids.
Invite friends over and treat them to home made cake, cookies or fruit salad.
Write an old friend a letter, search for a new dinner idea, polish the hubby's shoes and see what you get in return.
The list can be as endless as one's imagination.
Good luck!!!

PLay games. That's what being a stay at home mom is all about. With 3 kids you should NOT be bored at all. That's sad.

Devote your time to having fun with your kids. If they are home all day with you, then look for projects to do with them to help pass the time. I don't know where you live, but you may want to use public transportation to get to a free museum or art exhibit centered around the kids. If you know other parent's with children around the same age, have them over for a play date. This way the kids are occupied with their friends and you have some adults to talk to at the same time! Good luck!

Ha ha, you are in exactly in my situation. 3 kids and no car and yes it gets very boring. When I get really bored I rearange my funiture and change things around. When its all finished I sit back with a nice hot cuppa and relax. And the place feels alot more refreshed and different and not so boring. Just an idea. NZ made/ Christchurch

Enjoy those kids as much as you can right now. A good place to start is church. Find at least one other stay at home parent and get together. It will be good for you and the kids. Good luck and have fun with them. They grow up way to fast.
