In Oct. 04 I was injured an work and have been perm. dissabled since then. My credit has taken a serious down hill plunge since then. From credit cards going in default and charged off to having to give up vehicles even stuff that workmans comp has refused to pay. I can't even refinance my house because of this whole comp thing. Is there anything i can file or something that can " expunge" for say, the negative marks because of being injured? I'm 29 and my life is already screwed.

As long as the data furnishers (original creditors, collection agencys) are reporting inaccurately - you have a legal right to dispute with the credit reporting agencies (CRA's)

If you are using a paid report from each CRA, the data furnisher must verify and correct the inaccurate information within 30 days of the CRA receiving your dispute. If the data furnisher fails to verify or correct, the tradeline legally must be removed. Though, sometimes it is difficult to get the CRA's and data furnishers to follow the FCRA.

Keep in mind that if you are still within the collecting SOL on accounts and you start sending debt validation letters or disputes to the CRA's, you may wake up the data furnisher and they may actively start collecting again.

Since you are permanently disabled and if you are on SSDI, they cannot garnish SSDI. Whatever else they can do to you should they sue depends on your state exemption statutes.

As for the SOL on your repos, repos fall under the UCC for a 4 year SOL from the date the vehicle was sold creating the deficiency balance - as long as you were sent all of the legal paperwork before and after the sale and the sale was done in a legal and timely manner. If not, then the SOL is 2 years.

I would recommend TaxMaven's advice about Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover". However, you asked if there is an "easy" way to fix your credit. Dave Ramsey would be the FIRST to say "NO, its NOT easy."

Unfortunately no. There is no way to erase anything that is correct from your credit except wait it out.
