I'm with you.

However, the main way to get rid of religion is through education. And that is difficult. You have to fight emotional manipulation with reason, and reason is not as convincing a tool. Humans have been emotional creatures for far longer than rational ones. I don't think that we'll ever really get rid of religion, at least not in my lifetime, but we can get most people to realize it for the superstitious nonsense that it is.

Hopefully, in the not to distant future, God and Allah will join ranks with Zeus, Wodin, and all the other myths that nobody really believes anymore.

How very interesting. You must have read...and possibly understood the book of Revelation! That is EXACTLY what is going to happen very soon. The political system will turn on religion...and attempt to rid the world of all religion. Only thing is...man will never win fighting against God. So what will happen is only FALSE religion will be destroyed. The true religion will remain. Then, the nations will see God's people still worshiping their God and attempt to turn on them. But we will be protected because God says in the book of Zechariah that touching his people will be like touching his eyeball. How close would YOU let someone get to your eyeball? He will then react and annihilate all those in opposition to him. And the rest will live happily ever after!

Bet you didn't know your wish will be helping to fulfill Bible prophecy, eh?

She didn't say doing away with God... She's saying doing away with religion. After seeing all the riff it causes, keeping God and doing away with religion may not be a bad idea. God never wanted us to be so exclusive by negating religions that don't agree with ours. Good is good and bad is bad, why can't we just leave it at that, why do we have to have an evangelist tell us homosexuality is a deadly sin as he's sleeping with underaged boys while he's married? I think we really can figure out this "do good" thing all by ourselves.

I can take it as a wishful thinking. However, if you are free then you dont' need to form another group. Otherwise, you will just become another organization of believers. It may not be religious but still is a belief organization and a belief function opposing other beliefs.
A free man is someone who can talk. who can walk, who can work and who can exist with all kinds of people around him irregardless of their affiliations, organizations, age, gender or non-gender, race or creed.
I am with you in your desire but I am not with you in your plan. "THAT" to me is what is being free.

Yes get rid of all religions except the true Christian religion. One true religion would make the world a better and a safer place.

You will only have pissed off athiests on your side. I am a religeos neutral, though we need to get christians to look at the bible a little more closly. If you do revolt however, leave the bhuddists, jews, and neutrals alone.

Our current left wing Government. Lefties don't like religion, or anything else that gets in their way.

It's never going to happen. As long as there are mudslides and people dumb enough to pray to the mud and make sacrifices in an attempt to appease the mud, there will be deists.
