My pastor teaches that the end is drawing near. He gives proof of this from Revelations of the Bible. I also see this coming true.

Revelations 24: 4-14
4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, [a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the begin

I grew up with a Mormon for a Mother. I was told over and over that the "end times were near". That was many years ago!!! You will have no doubt when the end comes. The world is now in turmoil but it has been that way for such a long time, it is just now that people are looking for a way out. There is none. We all have to be counted in the end. Be Happy! The best is yet to come.

We have always been living in the end times. Each day we are closer to the final day. The people in the 1st century believed they were in the end times so we are surely in the end times now. Yet the Earth could exsist for another 10,000 years but that still makes this the end times.

Your Pastor is probably misusing Revelation. I see it done all the time.

I feel like we are in SOME of the end times but now all. For example, we are not experiencing 100 LB hail stones, yet.

BUT, there must be a hundred or a thousand things that fit in to the end times that are taking place now.

Sometimes, I wonder, when will the Sky's roll up. I wish it would happen , NOW.

I'm no historian or scribe or whatever, but has anyone considered that the "End Times" as stated in the bible is not a certain standard period of time as we precieve in days or years, but a much more epic, indefinite measure of existence as in eras or centuries conjoined as a whole, rather than indiviual. As far as I know time did not really start from "mans" perspective of time,it began.... whenever it began. No man will know.

You are young, and may not understand that EVERY preacher for 2000 years has preached the exact same thing, and they ALL have been wrong. There have been wars forever and ever, as well as famines and eathquakes... and many worse wars and famines and earthquakes than have happened in your short life.

the writing is on the wall. there are global conflicts. there is global warming. the stock market is going to crash soon too. krispy kreme shares were fifty dollars each. now they are four! kids are doing drugs and having babies. there are molesters and rapists in our schools and everywhere else. suicide bombers. crooked cops and politicians doing a dis-service to their communities. everybody has guns. we are regressing as a people. the period of growth is now a period of decline. everybody wants money but you can't take it with you. there are so many tornadoes, tsunamis, and other catastrophies that are causing numerous deaths. people are fighting over posession of dead bodies. they carry guns to church. too many signs to not believe we are nearing the end. i personally think that this world will soon be over and a new civilization will be born. from cavemen back to this.

Wars are always happening. Famines have happened in Africa for centuries. Earthquakes always happen, even if it's in some remote place you don't hear about. And no one has come claiming that they are the Christ.
