If I put a DVD in my 360, will it play in HD (I have an HDTV)? Or would I have to buy the $200 add-on player to view DVDs in HD?

Standard DVD's are not high definition. You need an HD-DVD or BluRay disc and player to watch a movie in true high definition. The DVD player built into the 360 plays only DVD's not HD-DVD's thus will only result in a standard definition picture. It will look better than on a regular TV because your HD screen has more lines and supports progressive scan, but it still would be no different than a regular progressive scan DVD player would be. Get the add on HD-DVD player for the 360 and get some HD-DVD's to play on it. Then you will see movies in true HD.
