NH Baritones questions have always made my day.

Digilooks not bad also.

I may be religious, but I dont take religious sides.

However, I do take the side of common sense and intelligence.

The best questions here are those that pose a serious point for discussion, rather than try to belittle a religious group. Sho-Nuff's questions are usually very good in this regard. It's also nice to be able to help someone with a genuine question about religion and theology, not just someone with an axe to grind.

R&S has a very strong sense of community amongst the regulars, and some questions dealing with the R&S community can be entertaining and interesting.

And of course there's the whole word of the day/drinking game thing, and the WSIDR, which provide a nice break from the same old questions which make up the bulk of R&S.

Believe it or not, the Catholic-bashing questions are the ones that make me think the most. It's a challenge to refute the common misconceptions about Catholicism and not become upset with some of the viciousness.

And as far as entertaining questions are concerned, you may hate me for this. . .but it's a toss up between some of the ones you've asked and the WSIDR's silly posts. Your humor is poles apart from each other, but you both make me laugh. And it's fun to come up with replies that are equally humorous.

Well, it wasn't a question. It was an answer someone gave to one of my questions. I asked about this scripture where Peter says that if we have suffered in the flesh than we have ceased from sin. I always took it to mean that once you got beaten or something like that for the Lord that he was saying you stopped sinning. But this one guy out of all the answers says, "No, he's saying when you don't sin you are denying your flesh which makes you suffer. So if you are suffering it means your not sinning." I never looked at it that way and that put that whole scripture into proper perspective for me.

Wow, there are so many I can't think of them all. The first one off the top of my head was from you I think, you asked if Atheists believed in "i" (the imaginary number). Great question!

I have learned a great deal from this board and I really enjoy answering questions regarding Bible facts and history. I have also learned a lot more about the Catholic faith than I did when I started. All in all I think this is a positive experience.

I agree and would like to add that this is all about entertainment. 'Listening' to what others have to really say and truly 'hearing' what they are saying whether it be opinionated, verbal diarreah or factual information. Really shows me that religion has a spell on many people and they use it as a crutch. Spirituality, on the other hand is something totally different, in itself. You can be one without the other. That is what I have learned. Peace.

I agree, but that's just me. There are plenty of other people who try to figure out what questions should be asked.

> from that thought, you had a benefit to your soul.
I haven't seen one yet. I did like the question, in Biology, about what happens to mRNA after translation. It's something I hadn't given much thought to.

I liked the ones where people aks what religion are you since they give you a demographics of the R&S section. I really like the one I asked :Should Atheists be allowed to Celebrate Christmas? I hate the ones where people answer their own questions or just bash others.

i went back to try and find my favorite, but I couldn't.... there are just too many great, silly, absurd, deep, knee-slappers, out there. I like all of them in some twisted way or another, or I wouldn't answer them.

I think the best ones are sarcastic or tongue in cheek because the serious ones are the ones that nobody REALLY wants an answer to. they've already got their minds made up, they just want to know everyone else's opinions.
